Artist’s book made with a watercolor paper notebook with illegible self-censored writings made with Rotring ink. Some writings are erased with an eraser. |
CONCEPT | This work reflected on the concept of socio-political self-censorship developed through illegible self-censored writings. On the other hand, it also deepened the relationship between the manipulable work and the spectator. |
EXHIBITIONS | It was presented for the first time in the author’s first Installation “LA AUTOCENSURA” at the Galería Propac in Madrid in 1976, as one of the key pieces of it.
In 1982 it was presented in the exhibition halls of the National Library of Madrid, in the context of a large exhibition of Artist’s Books, curated by Cathy Coleman. |
