OTHER INFORMATION The tragic event that took place in Vitoria was caused by the police – when Fraga Iribarne was Minister of the Interior – against some workers who were locked up in the new cathedral of that city and, as a consequence of that action, five of them died. The journalistic material was compiled by the author with all the news that appeared about the event in the newspaper El País.

The time in which these news items appeared in the press corresponds to the period between the 5th and the 25th of May 1977, the date on which it disappeared definitively.

With all these pages of the press – thirty-two in total – photocopies were made reduced to DIN A4 on white paper and, on them, the author was covering the texts with illegible self-censored writings applying two types of criteria in relation to the texts: one of total coverage when the texts had nothing to do with the news chosen and another light one, when it concerned said news, in such a way that it could be seen.
