| CONCEPT | This piece has its origin in Concha Jerez’s development of her concept of MENTAL PORTRAIT, centred on the name of the person portrayed, as the most integrating idea in her mental definition. |
| DESCRIPTION | To do this, the author draws the letters of that name on a single support -as is the case in this piece-, or in as many supports as there are letters with the name of the person mentally portrayed.
In this specific case, the three-dimensional piece MENTAL PORTRAIT OF MARCEL DUCHAMP 2, was made up of an aluminium door in whose glass the mental portrait of Marcel Duchamp has been traced from the graphics of the letters of his name made by the author in permanent marker |
| EXHIBITIONS | In 1991, it was shown in the exhibition MEDIDA LÍMITE at the Galería Alfonso Alcolea in Barcelona.
In 2009 it´s part of Concha Jerez’s solo exhibition TIEMPO INTERIOR at the Adora Calvo Gallery (Salamanca). |
| OTHER INFORMATION | This work has its origin in the MENTAL PORTRAIT OF MARCEL DUCHAMP 1 created from a window in his own house and which currently is part of the Contemporary Art Collection – La Caixa Foundation |
