CONCEPT | This work was made by the author within her conceptual line of “aesthetic recovery” of the content of various newspapers, which she has been doing since 1975 until today. |
DESCRIPTION | Conceptual work made by the author from a cover of the 1982 New York Times newspaper. From this page reduced to one Din A5, the author replaced the original texts with straight lines of the same size. With the replacement lines of the texts, she carried out a combinatorial work from the different blocks of said page previously established by the author, taken three by three. |
HISTORY | This work was first presented in New York in 1992 in the form of an Artist’s Book. |
EXHIBITIONS | In two-dimensional format it was presented in 2015 at the Aural Gallery stand at the ARTISSIMA Fair in Turin.
In 2016 it was presented in the Sala Verónicas in Murcia as part of Concha Jerez’s solo exhibition. “TIEMPO DIA-RIO”. In 2020 it was presented at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía MNCARS, as part of Concha Jerez’s solo exhibition entitled “QUE NOS ROBAN LA MEMORIA”. |
